Happy Birthday, Alissa and Drew!
Today, Drew turns 3 years old! He is the sweetest nephew you could ask for. He's becoming such a big boy!
It is Alissa's birthday, too. Isn't it cool that Drew was born on Alissa's birthday? Happy birthday to Alissa (aka Mom Extraordinaire)!

Keep the Faith
Las Vegas in March
In March, Pat and I decided to see Bon Jovi in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand. Without realizing, we arrived at the end of March Madness. It wasn't planned that way but we did notice that it was busier than normal. We also didn't plan on the weather being cold! It was freezing with temperatures in the 50s or 60s with a very strong wind. Brrr!
I was able to see Celine Dion's new show. She is AH-MAH-ZING! This show had the feel of a classic Vegas show. She did many of her earlier hits. Think "My Heart Will Go On" and earlier. She had several "duets" with Ella Fitzgerald, Stevie Wonder, and herself. I was so enthralled when she covered the Ella Fitzgerald song. Ella is my favorite singer of all time, and Celine is a close second. It's special to me that I've seen both of Celine's Las Vegas shows.

Pat and I have been to Vegas enough times to know the places we enjoy. The Bellagio has a garden area where they create entire scenes from flowers. It is never the same thing twice.
At New York, New York, they re-created the Statue of Liberty out of jelly beans!

Our Trip to Indianapolis
For my birthday last November, Pat bought me tickets to see the Indianapolis Colts play the Jacksonville Jaguars on December 19. We traveled to Indy but couldn't fly Southwest. When we arrived in Indy, our bags had other plans. My suitcase was stuck in Detroit, and Pat's took an even longer trip. Thankfully, we got our bags about 6 hours later.
Our walk to Lucas Oil Stadium was extremely cold with freshly fallen snow. It was so cold!!
Lucas Oil is beautiful. This was my first NFL game, and I really enjoyed getting to see the differences between college and NFL games. EVERYTHING is sponsored but not in an obnoxious way. I was thrilled to see Peyton Manning play, a player destined for the Hall of Fame. Best of all, the Colts won!
Go Colts!!
I am a slacker!
I haven't posted anything since February. I've been wanting to catch up, so the next posts will cover some of the time I've missed!
