I am a Cat Person

Purina Cat Chow produced a great video with people declaring, "I'm a cat person." Even though I love all animals, I am definitely a cat person. I was eleven when I got my first cat, and I grew up with Chloe. She taught me about the love and respect needed to be owned by a cat.

George and Gracie bring me joy everyday. I'm so proud of my husband for taking to living with cats. He often says that George is "a dog in a cat's body." While I understand what he means, an unknowing public doesn't realize that cats are affectionate, playful, adventurous -- qualities often only given to dogs.

Cats are beautiful, friendly, beguiling, smart -- the list goes on and on. One thing is for sure...I AM A CAT PERSON!

P. S. I wouldn't trade anything for the dogs I've had in my life, especially not our handsome dog, Einstein. He is the sweetest and smartest dog...paws down. :-)

Today, Drew turns 3 years old! He is the sweetest nephew you could ask for. He's becoming such a big boy!

It is Alissa's birthday, too. Isn't it cool that Drew was born on Alissa's birthday? Happy birthday to Alissa (aka Mom Extraordinaire)!

Keep the Faith

Seeing Bon Jovi in Las Vegas was awesome!! Pat and I have always wanted to see a show at the MGM Grand Arena. It was an awesome place to see one of our favorite bands. They never disappoint!

Las Vegas in March

In March, Pat and I decided to see Bon Jovi in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand. Without realizing, we arrived at the end of March Madness. It wasn't planned that way but we did notice that it was busier than normal. We also didn't plan on the weather being cold! It was freezing with temperatures in the 50s or 60s with a very strong wind. Brrr!

I was able to see Celine Dion's new show. She is AH-MAH-ZING! This show had the feel of a classic Vegas show. She did many of her earlier hits. Think "My Heart Will Go On" and earlier. She had several "duets" with Ella Fitzgerald, Stevie Wonder, and herself. I was so enthralled when she covered the Ella Fitzgerald song. Ella is my favorite singer of all time, and Celine is a close second. It's special to me that I've seen both of Celine's Las Vegas shows.

Pat and I have been to Vegas enough times to know the places we enjoy. The Bellagio has a garden area where they create entire scenes from flowers. It is never the same thing twice.

At New York, New York, they re-created the Statue of Liberty out of jelly beans!
