Mommy, I don't want to go to the vet!
The hardest part of being on vacation for a week was boarding my cats. It was so difficult to get them into the carrier this time. They really freaked out. I have a medium-size carrier that I use to take the cats anywhere outside of the house. George even loves it so much that he sleeps in it. I call it his "cathouse." :-)
It's very hard to get two, unwilling cats into a carrier by yourself. I would get George inside and zipped up. After chasing Gracie down, I'd have to unzip the door enough to fit her in. When I did that, out would pop George's head and out he went. It was so frustrating!
I feel guilty for scaring them. After about 15 times doing this, I got mad and yelled at them. It wasn't their fault, and there's no reason why they'd be excited to be put in the carrier and go to the vet. I eventually had to call Pat to help me. I ended up putting them in separate carriers.
The next ordeal involved riding to the vet with Einstein. Pat sat in the backseat holding Einstein with me driving and the cats in the front seat. It's quite a trip!
I was so frazzled by the time we made it to the vet. I wish it was more pleasant, especially since I didn't get to see the cats for another week. I just hope they have short memories!
Asleep and snuggling during calmer times...

From WholeHogSports.com
You’ve been clamoring for a logo at midfield at Reynolds Razorback Stadium and it seems you’re getting it.
A 90-foot running Razorback logo — like the one you see on the Arkansas helmet — will adorn the field this season, say The Sports Animals with Shawn Arnell and Wally Hall, sports editor of the Democrat-Gazette.
It looks to be the largest in the nation, according to Shawn and Wally’s interview with a graphic designer with World Class Athletics. It’s full color, red and black, and it will reportedly cover the field from 35-yard-line to 35-yard-line.
Boys (and Girls) of Summer
I'm back from the beach and had a great time.
We came into a little rain when we first arrived, but most of the week was sunny. The house had a spiral staircase that went to a look-out on the roof. It was a great place to take pictures of incoming storms.
We mostly stayed out on the beach. My shoulders were sunburned after the first day. I must have missed them when using my new spray sunscreen! I'm so fair that I can't help ending up with sunburn.
We ate so well on the trip. Over the week, we did a shrimp boil, a fish fry, grilled steaks, and grilled chicken.
The only night that we dined out was Friday. Pat and I decided to go to LuLu's. The food was great! We also went to Waterville on Friday to do some putt-putt golfing and go-cart racing.
I'm glad to be back, but it was so fun to be away for a week!

SPF 70 Time
I'm going on vacation all next week to the beach. I've never actually been on vacation for that long, but I'm willing to try! :-)
Here's the beach house that I'll be staying in with my boyfriend's family and another family.

I'm not much of a beach person. (Maybe it's because I burn easily and can't swim!) Despite this, I know I'll have a good time relaxing and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Have sunscreen, will travel!

Top 10 Worst Sports Logos of All Time
I found this article link on the Dunaway and Brown website. There have been some monstrously ugly sports logos! It's pretty amusing!

Doc in the Box
I have been having major sinus issues for about two weeks. My sinuses have been so dry, and it's been really painful. After self-medicating for about 1.5 weeks with a humidifier and saline spray, I finally went to the doctor. When I called my usual doctor, her office could not get me in.
I'm going on vacation next week and wanted to get any healing underway. So, I went to a local "doc in the box." It's a place where you just walk-in, so I expected it to be like the emergency room with kids crying and people coughing on me. Even though it took several hours, it turned out to be a good alternative.
The x-ray showed no infection, just a lot of inflammation. I got a steroid shot. (Don't tell the Senate!) She also gave me a steroid nose spray and some allergy medication to try. I never before thought I had allergies, but I guess I at least have mild allergies. Mom has struggled with allergies for years, so I guess genetics is just too powerful to escape!

70+ Pounds of Cuteness
I'm always posting photos of my precious cats, but I thought I'd show some love to my favorite dog. Pat has an equally cute dog named Einstein. (He's named after Doc Brown's dog in Back to the Future.) He has a big personality like George and Gracie.
Hilarious!
Hi, I'm Einie. I'm a Capricorn who loves walks around the neighborhood and tugging on my rings.
Hilarious!
